M25 Community Cycle 2017 - Cologne to Lille

Fundraising for Hospice Of St Francis (Berkhamsted)

Story

We are a team of 30 ‘athletes’ looking to conquer the rural roads between Cologneand Lille over the May bank holiday weekend. Comprising of 24 cyclists and 6support drivers (some of whom will be cycling part of the route), our groupwill be travelling though Germany, Luxemburg, Belgium and north-eastern France.This is the fifth consecutive year that we will have completed such a trip andit promises to be the biggest and longest.

Ourgroup forms part of the ‘M25 Community’ made up of cyclists from Connect Plus,Connect Plus Services, Highways England, Aggregate Industries, Osborne, JacksonCE, Tarmac, Aconex, and WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff and AECOM.

Weare raising funds for St Francis Hospice after the great care andamazing support that was provided to a former colleague and friend of ours – BarbaraGray – in her final months. Barbara was a much loved and integral part ofthe Connect Plus team and the trip this year will be in her memory.
