CPMG Charity Walk 2018 - The Dragon's Back Challenge!

Since 2009 when over 40 people completed the gruelling 42 mile Lyke Wake Walk, raising over £3,500 for Breast Cancer Care, the CPMG Charity Walk has become an annual event, well supported by individuals and businesses across the East Midlands, to raise funds for local charities.

This year, we have decided to take on the Dragon's Back Challenge, a 27 mile circular walk from Hartington along the Dove Valley, climbing  Parkhouse Hill, and the Dragon's Back itself, the spectacular Chrome Hill, before meandering back along the Manifold Valley.

As usual, the walk will be supported by our mobile tuck shop fleet, and will finish at a cosy country pub for a well-earned drink! As ever, we have pre-booked some sunny walking weather!

Framework

This year we have chosen to fundraise in support of Framework, a Nottingham based charity and housing association dedicated to helping homeless people, preventing homelessness and promoting opportunities for vulnerable and excluded people. They do invaluable work assisting people in often desperate circumstances across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

We are therefore aiming to raise in excess of £3000 to support this fantastic charity - please donate generously if you can.
