In September we will be taking on the Trek13 challenge to help raise vital funds for Alzheimer's Society.

Alzheimer's, as well as other forms of dementia, is a progressive disease. This means that over time, more parts of the brain are damaged and as this happens, more symptoms develop and they continue to get worse. In the whole of the UK, the number of people with dementia is estimated at 850,000 and this figure is set to rise.

Hayley used to work for Alzheimer's Society and has seen first hand how this disease affects people's daily lives and how support from fundraising events and individual donors makes such a huge difference!
