Summer 2022 I turn 40. It seems like it’s obligatory to take on some form of challenge! I’ve decided the London Marathon will be that challenge.

I have never run more than half of the distance before and in the last few years about 20% of it but it’s time to step it up a bit. 

We have all been affected by the pandemic but our young people disproportionately so. A significant portion of their lives have now been spent living in a complete world of uncertainty and daily speculation. 

Even before the pandemic the NSPCC provided vital daily support to our young people in times of need. Since the first lockdown demand on their service has massively increased as young people struggle with the impact on them and the knock on impacts of families affected by lockdowns, financial insecurity, isolation and adult mental health problems.

Those who know me professionally will appreciate that the work of the NSPCC is vital in supporting our ability to champion the life chances of our young people.
