Story
HELLO HELLO MY DEAR FUTURE SPONSORS,
After resigning last October, I signed up to run the London Marathon to raise money for the children's charity ACTION FOR CHILDREN. Ever since I went to watch the London Marathon for the first time three years ago, I have wanted to take part. I found it amazing that the mind can inspire the body to go through so much.
Places are limited and I feel lucky to be given the opportunity to participate. It is also the opportunity for you to help me raise as much money as possible for Action for Children. I don't think I will be running another marathon any time soon and hence it is unlikely that I will be asking money from you again!
Any sponsored money I receive through this page will go directly to Action for Children. The charity supports the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people in the United Kingdom. It has over 420 projects across the country and one of their main areas of work is with disabled children. You can find out more about the life-changing work of this charity and how your money will make a difference at the charity's website www.actionforchildren.org.uk.
42 kilometres is long. I am training hard (believe or not) and I have temporarily stopped drinking and smoking (only temporarily). I am determined to cross the finish line (phew!) and my personal goal is to run the marathon under 4 hours.
So, please dig deep and donate now. Any donations will be greatly appreciated - it's just that bigger ones will be appreciated more.
Thank you indeed!
