Captured Moment's Mosquito Nets Appeal

As a 40th Birthday experience we, a friend and I, decided to take on the challenge of cycling 500 miles around the mountains of .  When budgeting for the trip I had not taken into consideration the cost of protecting myself against the diseases to be found in . In total I spent around £400 on vaccinations and medications for various diseases and was frankly a bit annoyed at spending so much money on something so intangible.

And then I watched Sport Relief and my original view was shattered, 3000 children die every day from malaria alone, I realised just how lucky I am to be able to pay out to insulate myself against disease and suffering whilst still being able to enjoy the wonders of another nations home.

It is for this reason I have set out this just giving page.  In addition my company will be making a donation of one mosquito net to this cause for every family portrait sitting we undertake in April 2010 and for every ten sets of passport photographs we take.

Together we can defeat malaria. It costs just £5 to buy and deliver a life-saving bed net to a mother and child in . Every penny raised by the public for Malaria No More UK goes straight to their malaria prevention program, so you can already see what a difference your donation will make!
