Story
As many people will know, last year our 8 year old daughter Morven was diagnosed with cancer. She fought bravely against the disease for 6 months through 9 rounds of chemo and 2 months of radiotherapy. She was so positive and strong throughout and was given the all clear in September.
It was a very difficult time for our family and we could not have come out the other side without the continuous support we received from CLIC Sargent. They were there every step of the way and helped to make life easier for us all.
I always said that when I could I would try in some small way to show my gratitude, and so for this reason I have decided to run 60 miles in the London to Brighton Ultra Marathon in May of this year. Most people know I love running and can be found most days running at the crack of dawn, but this is an event like no other and a distance that I’ve never come anywhere near running!!! I’m up for the challenge and am training hard and hope I can show the same strength and resilience that Morven has.
I would be grateful for any support you might be able to give me and this fabulous charity.
Thank you and much love,
Cara x
