On Sunday 29th July Cosmin Bostaca (Site Supervisor for Careys Civil Engineering) will be taking to his bike to tackle the Prudential Ride London - a 100 mile challenge around London and Surrey to raise funds and awareness for the great work carried out at the Richard House Children's Hospice. The team at Dagenham support this great cause not only by completing crazy challenges but also by volunteering their time and skills to help repair and maintain the hospice.

Following on from the previous efforts of Team Dagenham, Adam Harlow (W Portsmouth & Co Ltd) has joined forces and will be continuing to raise further funds for the Richard House Children's Hospice.

“I have worked closely with Careys for a number years on various projects across the UK. From day-to-day business interactions with the Carey site management staff, I found out about the charitable projects that they undertake for Richard House Children’s Hospice, as part of the Careys Foundation. In November 2017, Careys invited me to the Richard House “Rainbow Ball” in London and it was here that I saw the amazing work being done to help those in need. I decided to join “The Big Half” London Marathon on the 4th March, thinking, “How hard can it be?”. Although I am a keen runner, this will be my first race. I have been training hard, aiming to finish the race in a good time that I can be proud of. Not only will this be a personal achievement but it is a great opportunity to raise awareness and money for the Careys Foundation and Richard House Hospice.”

Thanks for taking the time to visit Adam & Team Dagenham's donation page, your support is greatly appreciated and will continue to make a positive difference.

After successfully getting lost around Cambridgeshire on their recent 60km charity cycle, team Dagenham are now taking on a new challenge in aid of Richard House Children's Hospice. They will be abseiling down one of London's tallest buildings, the Broadgate Tower, all 540ft of it!!

Richard House Children's Hospice serves the heart of east London. They deliver specialist care for babies, children and young adults, while supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more. With a focus on living for today and creating positive memories for tomorrow, they also offer a range of activities for all the family to enjoy.Their services are completely free of charge and as a local charity over 70% of their funding is charitable - from the generosity of local people, companies and groups.

After visiting Richard House the team got a real feel of what the charity is about and the great work the staff carry out and wanted to get involved and help raise funds.

Thanks for taking the time to visit the teams page and help make a difference for the charity.

Team: Tommy Fitzsimmons, Andy McLachlan, Andy Anson, Charlie Reid, Chris Read, George Gray, Gary Walsh, Daniel Boggins, Cosmin Bostaca, Emmett Bailey, Adrian Kennedy, Andy McIntyre, John Sheerin & Adam Harlow.
