Amélie's Big Haircut · 23 July 2016

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Amélie decided that she wanted a haircut and that her hair should not go to waste! She had more than 12 inches cut off and is excited that her plait will be winging its way to the Little Princess Trust to be made into a wig for a child with cancer.

We were not going to fundraise (Amélie didn't want the pressure of having to have her hair cut) but having done the deed, we thought that it would be good to go the whole hog and raise money for the wig to be made (between £350 - £500!)...

Thank you to Alice Robson, from Eden Hairdressing in Brighton for cutting Amélie's hair so nicely and for her moral support throughout the cut!
