Story
Well I set out to do the 26 odd miles on a treadmill.
When I finished, I felt that I wasn't done and more could be done.
Fortunately the weather warmed up, so I ventured outside. I wanted to create a circuit to do a round the Island WTWMY, but observing social distancing and keeping it local. It is 108km around the Island and completed it yesterday. Sadly it took two weeks longer than I would have like, gave myself a groin strain on the way, but I recovered and carried on. around a 5km run most days.
I'm completing 'Walk the Wight My Way' to help make sure that, even during this challenging time, the most vulnerable in our community are cared for when they need it the most. Its only with our help that Mountbatten can continue to be there for Island people in the last years of life, when the time comes to die and to help those left behind come to terms with their loss. Without our support, Mountbatten cannot afford to deliver the services they do, as well as meet the needs of the increasing number of people who need care and support. Please help me by making a donation of whatever you can afford. Every penny will make a difference. Mountbatten, and Island people facing death, dying and bereavement, are counting on us!
