Story
I work at Nottingham University and see daily the importance of research and the impact it can have on people's lives. I want to raise money towards research for Asthma and Lung UK by undertaking this iconic race.
Why is important to me?
My son Jamie suffers with Asthma and when little suffered attacks and ended up in hospital numerous times, it was scary for him and us as parents feeling powerless.
My friends lost their daughter recently following an Asthma attack and I can’t begin to understand their pain and loss.
I have also lost my Uncle to pulmonary fibrosis recently, the loss of people who had a zest for life and leave such a huge gap in so many lives, compelled me to undertake this challenge.
Please support me in any way you can as I will appreciate and be encouraged by every pound I raise for this worthwhile charity.
Thank you
Carl

1 in 5 of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime. There's a new diagnosis every minute.I'm running The London Marathon 2023 for Asthma + Lung UK. Theyre the only UK charity that fights for everyones right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UKs nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
