Story
Most of you will know this but if not then let me tell you a little story. Tony became very poorly last June and was admitted to Airedale Hospital Intensive Care Unit with breathing difficulties which turned out to be a life threatening Asthma attack with a collapsed lung and resulted in him having to be tubed and put into an induced coma for 36 hours. We cannot thank the Hospital Staff and in particular the Intensive Care staff enough for looking after Tony and getting him through what was a really scary time for him, me and our family.
The first thing he did when he was brought out of the coma, as he couldn’t speak, was to engage in what was like a game of charades, acting out the need for pen and paper on which he wrote ‘will you marry me’, much to the amusement of the Intensive Care Staff. I did say yes but also reserved judgment just in case it was the cocktail of drugs he was on, ‘doing the talking’. Happily he asked me again a few weeks later.
We would both like to say that your presence at our Wedding Celebration Party is gift enough for us, so we kindly request no gifts but we have set up this Just Giving Page in support of Airedale Hospital Intensive Care Unit and if you would like to make a donation it would be much appreciated.
