Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm trying to do my bit in raising some money for St Andrew's Hospice, a cause very close to my heart having experienced first hand just how much of a difference they make to the patients and their family at the most difficult time in life.  Unfortunately my dad passed away there in 2005 aged only 48 due to a brain tumor.  The nurses there made such a big difference to us in those last weeks, days and even after.

So, this is is the least I can do! On 5th October we will be walking the last 18miles of the West Highland Way from the bottom of the Devils Staircase to the base of Ben Nevis at Fort William. This is perhaps the most dramatic section of the West Highland Way, as it climbs to the highest point on the route 548m (1798ft) with views of the Glencoe Mountains. We follow the track down into Kinlochleven where we then climb up through the forest to reach the Lairigmor valley. We finish by walking into Glen Nevis through lovely forest paths, arriving at our destination at the foot of Ben Nevis.
