Story
So I am attempting to run the half marathon. If you know me you will know I am not a natural runner, I don't exactly have the correct build for it! I am however extremely stubborn and that has dragged me through the many miles of training these past 3 months.
Having an inspiring story to run for definitely helps in those last few miles when the energy levels have dipped. My inspiring story is about my cousin Catherine. She was diagnosed with MS in 2009 just when her new life with her fiancé was about to begin. 4 years on she has an amazing husband and 2 fantastic baby girls. She has never let having MS stop her. I advise everyone to check out Catherine's excessively inspiring blog: http://alifecopingwithms.blogspot.co.uk/. If it doesn’t make you want to get off the sofa and run 13.1 miles I don’t know what will!
So I am choosing to run 13.1 miles for Catherine and for everyone who suffers from MS in the Foyle area. All the money donated will go to the Foyle branch of the MS Society.
Please donate! Also, if you are thinking of popping down to Belfast on the 22nd to watch me stumble around let me know where you are standing. I will wipe the sweat from my eyes and give you a wave.
