Story

Allan Tovey who lost his fight with Cancer at the untimely age of 66. Allan died peacefully with his family, at his home in Chard, Somerset, at 04:30 with the birds singing.

Allan was originally diagnosed with a brain tumour in August 2018.  Whilst the treatment was initially successful, the cancer returned earlier this year.

Allan was so well loved by all his Customers and as a personal friend to most. There are so many wonderful Edwards Pearson and Bystronic machines installed in the West Country not due to their attributes, but because Customers trusted Allan to deliver his promise. They remain as a legacy to a great man.

Allan had a great, though relatively short, life.  Outside of work his passions were his family, motor sport and squash which he gave up after a number of injuries.

Allan leaves behind his beautiful wife and soulmate Trish, married for 38 years, two sons and best friends Adam and Craig, who he adored and four grandchildren, Mila, Presley, Elsie and Rose, in short, his life.

Allan wouldn’t want us to be sad at this point, he always had a smile on his face and I’m sure he’s looking down on us with that same loving smile that was Allan.
