Story
To celebrate 18mths post liver transplant I’m running the Great North Run on the 8th Septemberin Newcastle. I have the honour of running on behalf of PSC Support. I was diagnosed with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis shortly after the birth of my second child , over 20 years ago. It’s a rare liver disease which effects the bile ducts in the liver. Only 7 in a million people are diagnosed with PSC each year. After years of slowly declining health a routine mri scan detected cancer, & I needed a transplant within the next year. PSC Support held all the information I required to quell my darkening thoughts & the friendly members of this forum answered questions I was too afraid to ask at clinic. In February 2018 I received a call to say a liver had become available & I received my gift. My aim Is to raise money for the charity that provides help & support online, information days around the country to the patients & relatives in the Uk & internationally. They play a very large part in research & work along side clinical services. Please help me raise valuable funds to support this charity, I’ll do the hard work but I need you to help by sponsoring me! Thank you & have the conversation on donation. Wish me luck xxx💚xxx.
