The Eve Brook Scholarship Fund is for young people, aged 16 – 25, who have grown up in residential or foster care with Birmingham City Council. It is a scheme to celebrate the achievement of young people who’ve been looked after by giving them help to go to college or university.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I am raising money again for the Eve Brook Scholarship Fund to enable more young people leaving care in Birmingham to fulfill their potential by going onto further education.  My daughter, Hannah, graduated last year after three years at Leeds University supported financially and emotionally by her dad and me.  She also lived with me during the holidays and when she first left university.  Young people leaving care do not get this support - they are on their own so consequently many drop out or never start further or higher education.  So please help by sponsoring me.  Yesterday I ran my sixth marathon and 4th London marathon.  It was a tough race as I had been suffering from a virus but I completed it in 3:44 - not as good as last year's 3:30 but very happy to finish in the hope it will encourage a few more donations!
