I was lucky enough to get a place in the VLM ballot and have decided to raise funds for The Lavender Touch, a charity that helped my Mum through her illness after being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer in November 2011. They are a small charity that do fantastic work with cancer patients in the Scottish Borders. Mum always looked forward to her sessions with Frances Gordon and I strongly believe they helped bring her comfort, eased her pain and helped her relax as well as giving her something to look forward to on a weeky basis especially when she was unable to leave the house. A little known charity that makes a massive difference.
