I spent some of my childhood on boats. Luckily I never needed saving but I always knew that if I did I could rely on the lifeboat crews of the RNLI. I am therefore raising money for the RNLI by doing the Great Birmingham Run on the 21st October. Lifeboat crews are unpaid volunteers and they receive no funding from the government. It is entirely charitable donations that fund the RNLI - the charity that saves lives at sea. Donations and support of any kind will be much appreciated.
