Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I was 6 years old, I joined Southover School. Luckily for me, a group of girls took me under their wing and the rest is history. I will never forget Lola's round glasses and bunchies from our school days spent playing leap frog on the field and feel so lucky to still be her friend. We have shared many happy memories as have our mums who became close friends when we were girls. Liz and my mum, Alayne, both worked together at Southover and enjoyed a wonderful friendship both in and outside of school. Their love of tea and books was the basis of a strong partnership.
Liz sadly passed away in September after her battle with cancer. She is, and will always be, so missed. St Peter and St James Hospice provided such invaluble care for Liz and so I am running the Brighton Half Marathon in her memory and to raise money for the hospice so that their incredible work can continue.
I feel so lucky to have called Liz a friend so this run is for her.
Time to get my running shoes on.
