Hi and Thank You for visiting my page! I've signed up to take part in the Castaway 5 day survival challenge. I'll be escaping technology (and the luxuries of life!) with just my rucksack of clothes to survive with other fellow Castaway comrades! 

By taking part in this challenge I'll be raising money for The Royal British Legion who offer lifelong support to veterans, service men, women and their families. I am keen to take on this challenge to do my part in supporting their work. In case you're not familiar with the variety of work that The Royal British Legion undertake its surprisingly varied, but most importantly they care for the whole family of those affected by the impact of service life. They help to ensure the highest quality of care for those suffering physical and mental issues and help families that need time to reconnect. 

A little bit about me… I moved to Lincoln in Nov 2022 to live with my partner who is military. I quit my job due to poor health, seemingly all linked to burnout (mental and physical) and so that combined with the exposure I’ve had to the military I wanted to do something that not only challenges me but raises money for a good cause.

I have pretty much left everything I’ve ever known behind with the aim to get back to strong physical and mental health. I spend my days helping other people through yoga and am in the process of setting up a yoga studio on Brant Rd, Lincoln. While this is amazing I wanted to do something that was completely out of my comfort zone to help raise money for the RBL and build my resilience further. I’m new to Lincoln which I hadn’t realised had such a well established military community. This is me doing my part to show my appreciation for everything they do!
