Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As well as taking on the significant physical challenge of cycling 500km from Agra to Jaipur in India (and I'm not a cyclist!), I also want to raise over £2,500 for Railway Children who have projects in India, Tanzania and the U.K. helping to change the lives of some of the world's most vulnerable children who are at risk on the streets and at transport hubs. As challenges persist over the cost of living, it's often children who are the hardest hit. So, it's vital Railway Children continue to reach and protect more of those who desperately need help.
I am self-funding this challenge, therefore all trip costs are covered by me. This means that every pound that is raised through events or sponsorship will go directly to Railway Children.
I know we all get asked to donate to many charities, and they are all amazing causes. Some are much closer to our hearts than others, so I don't expect donations to be easy to come by, but if you can support me (and many have already by attending my fundraising quiz night on 13th January in Audlem Public Hall - thank you very much for that - you know who you are) I would be very grateful.
I truly believe that those of us who are born with the privilege of a safe and happy home are lucky. As many children do not have either of these. Ride India is my challenge to help those who haven't had the head start in life that I have been so lucky to have had.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support.
