Story
Hi everyone!
Well, I’ve signed myself up for another marathon.
I have chosen to raise money for a charity that many of you won’t have heard of. ‘ALEX - The Leukodystrophy Charity’. This charity is supporting one of the families at my school.
December 2021 was a life changing time for now 10 year old Franklin’s family when they learnt that he has a genetic disorder called adrenoleukodystrophy.
Since that time, the brain’s control of Franklin’s muscles has deteriorated meaning he is now fully dependent on his family and carers for his everyday needs. However, this has not deterred Franklin with his cheeky sense of humour and sparkle in his eye! He loves jokes (the ruder, the better!), and to be around his school friends. The charity delivers support, advice, knowledge and care for those affected by different leukodystrophies such as Franklin and his family.
If you are able, I would be most grateful for any donations to go toward this charity and to show support for Franklin.
Thank you in advance.
