We help people get the support they need to stay safe from suicide

Story

A bunch of overweight, middle aged men cycling 85 miles from Dublin to Wexford. What could possibly go wrong?

In training so far, we have broken spokes, tyres and cogs. Either we are too fat, or too powerful for our bikes. You decide.

It's fair to say that we had not, collectively, given enough thought to mental health issues and suicide until our late, and bloody great mate Rob tragically left us a couple of years ago.

Rob was passionate about raising awareness for mental health issues. So in order to raise awareness we have entered the Dublin Wexford cycle on 17 September, retracing Rob's footsteps from a few years ago.

We are funding everything ourselves. But we would like you, please, to dig deep for Grassroots suicide prevention who, as the name implies, support communities to prevent suicide. Grassroots are a small, Brighton based charity and your contributions really will make a difference.

Thank you

Mark, Paul, Andrew, Rob and Kevin.

About the charity

We work to make sure nobody has to experience thoughts of suicide alone. We fight dangerous stigma that stops people talking about suicide. We teach communities to recognise and support those at risk. We develop new ways for people to get lifesaving support. Together, we can prevent suicide.
