Story

I have been going on to my family about taking part in the Walk the Wight since my dad passed away at Mountbatten in 2016. Each year I would be planning to sign up for one of the walks but due to the ongoing pain in my feet I would not have been able to do it.  This year my feet have been much better and I had a friend due to visit the island to walk with me on the 8 mile walk.  But due to COVID it allows me to actually attempt the full 26 miles during May. I am hoping to cover that as quickly as possible. Mountbatten is my main charity because they took such good care of my dad and family when we were there by his side. They need to survive this awful Pandemic so that they can continue to care for us islanders. We may need them in the future.
