In March 2014, I will be volunteering in Karagwe, Tanzania for 12 weeks for a community-based project on local livelihoods through VSO-ICS, I am really excited to be a part of community development in the effort to promote health, combat poverty and educate. ICS, or International Citizen Service, is a development programme that puts its volunteers alongside local volunteers in some of the most underdeveloped areas of the world.

All donations you make go directly to the charity VSO, and not towards my expenses while I am there.

ICS is funded by DFID (the UK government Department for International Development) as part of government action to contribute to the Millenium Development Goals. The money I hope to raise will therefore go towards VSO sending future volunteers to developing countries.
