Having completed a number of challenges, I'm not underestimating the 48miles around Jersey's coastline. It is flat in parts but generally undulating, with some challenging areas around the North Coast. Not everyone completes this event. By entering this event, I aim to raise much needed funds for Centrepoint, a charity focusing on children.

Centrepoint's purpose is to make childcare possible for every family in Jersey. Centrepoint promotes the welfare of children by providing child-first, leading-quality childcare in nurturing environments within their nurseries, playcare and special needs centres. At Centrepoint they provide the absolute best possible start for children supporting their emotional, physical and mental development through exploration, learning and play. To ensure optimum care for the 600+ children each year, the charity's operating costs are now £1.9m per annum. 

Every penny counts, particularly through these difficult financial times many of us are facing.
