The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £5m we need each year to fund our free care.

Thank guys :) xxx

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I would just like to give you a quick overview on why donating to this fantastic charity is so worthwhile..........

The Hospice of St Francis relies on donations and fundraising and unlike other hospices in Britain the NHS only provides 18% of their funding! The hospice costs 3.7million pounds a year to run, so they need as much help as your prepared to give.....This is where you can help!!

They do such an amazing and selfless job looking after and caring for terminally ill patients, providing them with excellent care and support as well as their families. It doesnt just stop there, they also help families deal with the loss of their loved ones after they have gone with aftercare support.

So.....the journey......3 days will be spent in India helping to re-vamp a run down hospital for a charity called Cankids.....it is a charity based in India that helps to look after children with cancer and support their families. Once we have worked our magic, used alot of paint and elbow grease we then load ourselves onto an indian train......For those who saw the Topgear episode over Christmas you would have seen this journey and what the trains are going to be like (wish me luck)!! We then arrive at the base of the Hilmalayas where we have a 'good nights' sleep before we start our climb the next day. It is a four day trek over very rocky and unstable terrain in the Indian sun.....each night we are to camp in the mountain in freezing cold conditions getting as much rest as we can for the day ahead! We will be trekking between 8- 10 hours a day, for those that know me, im not a massive walker.....opting for more easier ways of travelling.........So i better start training now!!

But for me to be able to participate on this amazing journey i need to raise £3000 so please dig deep and help me raise the money to help this amazing charity!!! Thank you - Charlotte :)
