I'm 86 years old and I've loved and owned dogs all my life, apart from the years I was in the Royal Marines. My first dog was called Bosun and he was a loveable mutt. My present dog is Snoopy and he taking part in Muddy Dog with me. He's a lovely little boy and adores other dogs.
Over the years we have rehomed dogs from Battersea and I like the fact that my wife and I have been able to give our Battersea dogs a second chance. Our last Battersea dog Dylan died age 16, two years ago. We adored him. When he came to us he was so quiet and withdrawn, but we gave him a whole lot of love and treated him like a prince. He rewarded us a being a loving and loyal companion.
My daughter Charlotte Fielder works for Battersea and not a week goes by without her telling us an amazing storie about the animals, volunteers, foster carers and staff. She also tell us that Battersea is an organisation that lives it values and is there for all dogs and cats.
Recently she has been telling us about Battersea's anti cruelty campaign and what Battersea is doing to help get custodial sentences raised for those who abuse animals. so we know that Battersea is a charity worthy of your support because they are also helping the animals they will never meet.
I have never done any sponsored activities before so this is a first but
I'm passionate about what Battersea does so please sponsor me and help me help more animals.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home aims never to turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. Thry are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society. Their dedicated team of Clinic and Kennel staff work tirelessly to give animals everything they need during their time with them. In 2016 they cared for around 7,000 animals which they simply could not do without your support.
THANK YOU
Yours sincerely
