Every year i do something in memory of my dad, raising money for Alzheimer’s. When I was 6 my dad was diagnosed with PPA. By the time I was 8, he’d forgotten who I was and by the time I was 11 he’d lost the ability to walk or talk. Although my memories of my dad are tainted with his illness, and the side effects that came with it, i try to shine a positive light onto my time with him by celebrating him. Each year alzheimers research helps us get closer to a cure, and i hope soon no one will have to watch their loved ones fade infront of them
