I have been running for 10 years and my particular passion is trail
running. I’m a huge fan of running off road and I love exploring forests and running along rivers. If anyone asks me what I’m doing on the weekend, my answer is always "I’m going out running".
This is a million miles away from my school days when I struggled to run further than 200 metres due to being asthmatic and I didn’t like running at all.
However, 10 years ago after trying different types of exercise I was determined to give running another go. With time, patience and using breathing techniques I haven’t looked back since. I am now running more frequently and further than ever.
I’ve run a marathon and two ultra marathons. I’m not a fast or
particularly good runner, but I like challenging myself and now I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet with a 106km/65mile run around the Isle of Wight in one go setting off on Saturday 29th April. This is a huge challenge and I’m putting in training sessions every day.
