Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 1st April 2019 our son Kye, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
My wife and I were heartbroken, his diagnosis immediately threw up questions of what his future would hold. We had no choice but to get our heads around the diagnosis quickly and absorb the training fully in order to leave the hospital, continue getting his life back on track and to reunite him with his 11 week old brother.
Kye has been fitted with the Medtronic insulin pump. It is a fantastic way of helping Kye get the insulin he needs without injecting. At such a young age and unable to verbally communicate, the Medtronic Pump has been our saviour.
JDRF will continue to be so important for people like us as a family managing our young sons Type 1 diabetes. We want to contribute as much as we can to this amazing charity to help Kye and others with this condition, in the hope of finding a cure.
Approximately 400,000 people are living with Type 1 in the UK with over 29,000 of them children.
Please help us and many other families affected by this cruel disease by sponsoring my London Marathon Journey with JDRF.
Thanks in advance for all of your sponsors and support.
