We fund research and provide support to improve blood cancer patients' lives

My brilliant friends are all running five miles a day for August to raise money for Blood Cancer UK.

I obviously can't do that right now as I am in the middle of chemotherapy and will have two treatments in Augustut I wanted to push myself so will be walking a mile a day. I may have to do more to make up on the days I actually have the chemotherapy.

If you want to check out why please go to

I think this will be a real challenge, even though it's only a mile, so please give generously, it's a good cause!

Otherwise the other chaps summary is below, five miles a day is a real challenge to keep up, especially as we all have kids!

'What are we doing? Each of us will be doing 5 miles a day, everyday in August (some of us will be running, walking, cycling, roly polies…). That might not sound like much to some people, but we’ve all got small kids and the dad bods to match…it’s going to be painful. 155 miles is long way!Why are we doing it?In 2013 our friend Marcus was diagnosed with splenic lymphoma (check out his blog at, ironically because he was super fit and ran lots of marathons (full story on the blog). Every year since, he’s raised thousands of pounds for charity. This year, chemo is taking it’s toll and he’s taking a break - so we’re stepping up to fill the void. The challenge had to running, and we’re none of us fit enough to run an actual marathon, and this was the most painful but acheivable thing marcus came up with. Thanks for reading this far - now get that credit card out and donate!Rob, Tom, Freddy, Seb and Pat.'
