Having had a cancer diagnosis this year and now coming to end of chemotherapy I have been through alot. After a long 3 and a half years of trying to convince doctors I was ill (I'd all the symptoms!!)  I finally ended up having emergency surgery on Christmas Eve, lost a pregnancy and received my diagnosis of a rare small intestine tumor on January 6 2016.. So much has gone through my head...  We have been honest with our 5 children ages 12,10, 9, 6 and 4, they watched for 19 weeks as the nurse came and redressed my open wound, then every week when the nurses returned to clean, redress and flush my picc line.. They always ask how they can help and if children can get cancer. Then they found the leaflet from the little princess trust..  I was lucky not to lose much hair, mine thinned out alot and I got a hair cut and fringe to hide the thinned areas.. I've still to confirm date but it will be at end of August,  if others want to attend to donate either money or hair details will follow. .

Donations have been flooding in and we greatly appreciate it. We have gone over target but are going to continue until the girls get their hair cut..  We now have a date - Thursday 25th August at 11am at Russells hair in Haslems lane Lisburn. There will be a donation box at the salon until that date and a few more down on the day as my husband, son and husband of the hair dresser will be fundraising that day too. Please continue to spread the word and support this charity and hopefully it will help a few families find things easier xx
