Story

I have chosen to support Cruse because

I was 12 when my uncle took his own life and 9 months later at a normal Sunday breakfast, my Dad collapsed, and by the time the ambulance arrived he had died of a heart attack. I kept as busy as I could whilst returning back to school and would do anything to not let my thoughts think about it…, if anyone mentioned my Dad I would shut down. 25 years later it hit me. If you don’t grieve it will eventually come and bite you in the ass…. It was important to me to be a part of a charity that I full relate to, to get the message out there that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I want people to know it’s important to go on your own grief journey, and then talk when you are ready. That’s why I am proud to be joining Cruse as an Ambassador – they support you to explore your grief in your own time, in your own way. So please give what you can to help me raise as much as possible so everyone grieving gets the support they need.
