Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm not really sure why I decided to register for the Machu Picchu challenge. I hate hiking. I also hate many of the things that come with travelling far away: I hate injections, I hate being in different climates, I hate being in places where wi-fi is hard to come by. On all accounts, this trip doesn't seem to be the sort of thing that I'd do. I just really want to go to Peru.

As for the fundraising, though I'm passionate about charity, I'm not organised, I'm not into events management and I'm not incredibly persuasive, either. £3,000 is a lot of money. 7ish months is not very long.

The Make-A-Wish charity, who grant magical wishes for seriously-ill children, are holding the trip and are a charity close to my heart. I feel that not enough charities focus on bringing happiness and enriching the lives of those who need some light in the dark.

Still, I'm doing the challenge because I love travel and I've always wanted to go to Peru. On the trip I'll be pushed to my physical limits while making friends and creating memories!
