Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Multiple Sclerosis is a condition which affects a person’s central nervous system and, whilst treatments exist, there is no cure.
From the earliest age I can remember, our closest family friend Jeff has played a huge part in my life.
Jeff has always encouraged me to strive to reach my full potential and
to do the very best I can in life.
Despite Jeff’s condition and his daily struggle, he has always remained a
constant in our lives and has always remained supportive and encouraging in everything we do – even if there is a little tough love in there!
I decided to do the Wolf Run as a marker and the next big challenge in my life – I have worked hard to lose 5 Stone and change my levels
of fitness entirely. So why not jump in at the deep end!?
Jeff is my inspiration for this. I have managed to get myself to a point where I can do things I never thought I could – run, complete a workout at the gym, swim, and be proud of the body that I am in and what it is now capable of doing and that I am fortunate enough to be able to do. Jeff cannot do these things as he has a constant struggle to perform normal daily tasks.
Anyone who knows me will know I am not a natural runner. In fact, I have only recently started to go on small runs.
For this reason – I will not make a promise to finish within a set time as many people would on a running challenge.
However, I will promise to complete the course having given it 110% and will provide some wonderfully muddy photographs of my victory!
