Story
Never one to do things by halves, I’ve set myself 2 of the biggest physical challenges of my life within 8 days of each other in the hope of raising loads and loads of cash for children with heart problems. Being ill at any age is terrible but as a child it’s just not fair. Any parent will tell you that they’d prefer to go through it themselves than to worry about their kids. So, the courageous families we are doing this for will spur me on not only do the challenges but also as I put myself through hours of gruelling training as I try to get my 18.5 stone frame into some kind of shape to have half a chance of completing.
My challenges are as follow:
Friday 27th April - I’m taking part in the Swimathon. The distance is 200 lengths (5km). I have a target to complete it in under 2 hours (I’m really not sure whether this is possible but I’m working hard).
8 days later I’m doing the 24 mile Yorkshire 3 Peaks. The target time for this is 12 hours.
Wish me luck and if you can, sponsor me and support these poorly kids. Thank you for your support.
