I was fortunate enough to get a ballot entry in the 2023 London Marathon and decided to take part just for my own enjoyment. I'm not aiming to finish in any particular time and am just looking to enjoy the day after 6 months' following the training plan. Several kind people have asked whether I'd like sponsorship and the charity my running club are supporting this year is the Chris Aked Foundation, founded by my club mate and friend, Kirsty Aked.
