Race to the Kings · 24 June 2017

East Sussex WRAS was established as a voluntary group in 1996, but founder Trevor Weeks has been rescuing wildlife since 1985. The charity was set up to provide a front-line rescue & hospital service for people finding wildlife casualties as well as offering advice and information.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Chris and I am the casualty manager at East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service. After being inspired by my friend Daryl to do my first marathon in 2016, the need to keep pushing myself harder has increased. Since then I have run two full marathons of the Downs and a half marathon in Eastbourne.

I have signed up to take part in a ultra marathon of 53 miles. From Arundel to Winchester cathedral, the burial place of the first kings of England. I will attempt to complete the race non-stop. I want to prove to myself I can do this both mentality and physically.

I want to raise as much as I can for WRAS. Their funds are not endless and they need as much support as they can get to help them continue to care for the wildlife of East Sussex. I have been with them 6 years now and I know how much each and every member of the team works so hard to benefit the wildlife.

I would really appreciate the sponsorship and the support to help push me through this difficult challenge.
