Story
On May 14th I will be cycling 35 miles in the New Forest in support of the Dystonia Society.
The Dystonia Society is the only charity working UK wide to support people living with dystonia, a movement disorder where involuntary muscle spasms are caused by incorrect signals from the brain. Dystonia affects 70,000 people in the UK, with the debilitating muscle spasms forcing the body into painful and debilitating movements and postures.
One of the Society's key aims is to halve the delay between symptom onset and diagnoses - this is currently 2.3 years on average, during which time the condition can be particularly debilitating.
It would be great if you could sponsor me in the bike ride - 35 miles is a hell of a long way and further than I have ever cycled in one day, so it will certainly be a challenge for me and will make a real difference to the Society's work.
