Story

Hello everybody,

Thank you for reading my page.

*Kilimanjaro conquered 10th October 2018*

You read that correct, in October 2018 I aim to climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro! The fourth highest mountain in the world! I've never done anything like this before and in truth I'm bricking it, but it's all for a really amazing cause.

Every year Alder Hey provides fantastic care, treatment, and support to 275,000 children who are all facing their own struggles and battles with a wide range of complex issues.

Their service, care, and dedication is second to none, and with your help we can raise more money to offer vital support to a children's hospital that is so heavily relied upon time and time again.

To convince you to part with your hard-earned cash, I will be undertaking as many events as possible (sponsored shave?) ending with a total of 10 days climbing a whacking big mountain. I'll be hoping to reach the dizzying summit of 5,895 metres, covering 56.5km (35.1 miles) to get there.

This will be no easy task, as I will be walking every day, camping every night, having basic washes, going to the toilet that will be a hole in the ground, and doing all of this with ever decreasing amounts of oxygen in temperatures from 27º to -29º!

For every £1 donated you will have contributed 1 metre of the climb..!

£5 (5 metres) could contribute towards ensuring young patients have toys, books and interactive games to reduce stress, anxiety and boredom.

£50 (50 metres) Contributes towards arts & crafts materials to be used as distraction therapy whilst treating young cancer patients with chemotherapy.

£500 (500 metres) Pays half of the costs of an Apnoea Monitor which is a specially designed mattress to detect when a baby has stopped breathing.

£5000 (5000 metres) Funds 2 wheelchairs which can be used in transportation. This allows children to be released earlier from hospital and helps with the transition back to normal life because they have the ability to attend school.

If you know me or even if you don't please get behind this extremely worthwhile cause!

Thank you so much for your generosity
