Running the London Marathon has always been a dream of mine and picking Anthony Nolan to apply for a spot was an obvious choice as I witnessed two families I know of directly affected by the devastating effects of blood cancer.

My wife and I have been on their register to donate stem cells and bone marrow for years now. We both were picked as matches at some points but unfortunately the reality of this awful disease meant that the donations could not go ahead for the recipients which was heart breaking.
