Hi guys, I have took it upon myself to participate in the Manchester marathon 2025 in aid of Bone Cancer Research Trust, after getting abit of a dad bod over the past few years 🙈 I felt I needed some sort of motivation to get off my ass and push myself... so why not do a 26 mile run 🤣 a marathon is something I have always dreamt of achieving so it just seemed fitting to push myself.. the reason I have chosen to run for BCRT is in remembrance of Bill pick, those who don't know bill he was the man who made me fall in love with playing football as a young lad, he took me to my first ever live game and gave me the opportunity to play on Notts county's ground aswell as teaching me so many life skills.. as a kid he was always the person I looked upto most and wanted to be when I was older a family man who always put a smile on other peoples faces.. but unfortunately he was taken away far too young after battling bone marrow cancer for so many years... If you have a spare few quid I would really appreciate any donation that would help achieve my goal of £500. The Bone Cancer Research Trust is dedicated to saving lives & improving outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer. Despite being small, they fund more research projects exploring primary bone cancer than any other organisation. Other large UK cancer research charities do not prioritise bone cancer patients, in 2019 just 0.028% of their research spend went to bone cancer – not even close to 1%!Last year alone, Bone Cancer Research Trust committed an incredible £807,824 to pioneering bone cancer research - to save lives!
