Story

In August 2014 I had a transient ischaemic attack (TIA), known as a mini stroke. Many tests later, the medical team looking out for me discovered a hole in my heart that they determined was the likely cause of a blood clot, which lead to my TIA.

I've since had that hole in my heart closed and I'm stoked to say that I've been given a clean bill of health! I was lucky and recovered quickly but for some, the effects of a stroke are devastating and long lasting.

Organisations such as the Stroke Association help to change the lives of stroke survivors by funding vital services and life-saving research.

On the 28th of April I’m going to be running my first ever marathon and hoping to raise as much as I can for the Stroke Association along the way!
