To everyone reading this, thank you for taking the time to do so, it means a lot to me. I am taking the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this August 2014 in honour of Sarah Groves, one of the most incredible people I ever met in my life. I met Sarah when I was 12 at school and since then we were inseparable. She was one of the closest people in my life and apart from a best friend, a soul sister and one of the most giving people I have ever met. Sarah always inspired me every time we were together, and she was one of the only people who could make me laugh until I could not move anymore and it made my tummy hurt, but more importantly we understood each other at a very deep level. She was a very special person who always stood up for what she believed in. She had this incredible energy about her and she knew how to touch people and bless them with positivity. She really knew how to live, to laugh and to truly love. Sarah was a living angel and her legacy will live on for eternity. Sarah climbed Mount Kilimanjaro herself in 2012 and fundraised over £3000 for her chosen charity. I was planning on going too, but I could not go that year. She was a great believer in giving of herself and making a change in this world. This year we are all doing it for Sarah, who made a change in the lives of all those who knew her, no doubt. Sarah always told me to 'Keep The Fire Alive Within You'...'Keep It Burning Bright'...'A Firing Phoenix', she also said 'To Keep Our Hearts In The Dance', and this is exactly what we are all going to do together for Sarah....always and forever!!!!!

Many of the people in this team are Sarah's family and friends, who have joined together to fundraise, and also to retrace Sarah's footsteps up Kilimanjaro in what will be an incredibly emotional journey for us all.
