They say 'Life Begins at 40!', for me it was 'Life Changed at 40!'

Having turned 40, I was diagnosed with breast cancer just 6 months later. Now nearly 9 years later I am just about to turn 50, and would like to celebrate by giving something back to those who made it all possible for me to have these years and many more to come, hopefully! Next year I will also celebrate my 10th anniversary, 10 years since I was diagnosed that is!

With both events in mind, I am setting up this page with a goal in mind, that is to raise £1,000 to donate to Breakthrough Breast cancer. A charity I have worked with to help raise awareness of breast cancer. They have a local research centre at the Western general Hospital which is now pioneering research into new treatments and possibly one day a cure.

So hopefully you will want to celebrate with me, donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
