We work with street children in D.R.Congo to offer a hope filled future

Story

The therapy team at NHS Dolphin Centre, Tunbridge Wells and friends would like to support Kimbilio's latest venture  as they aim to build a school for the Kimbilio children and others in the community in Lubumbashi, DR Congo.

Our challenge is to raise £2,000+ towards the cost of drilling a bore hole that will provide clean water for the school. A vital provision - pure clean water - something we take for granted. Please will you help us help them.

On 18 May a group of 'Dolphin girls' and friends are attempting to complete the 3 Welsh Peaks Challenge and climb Snowdon, Cedair Idris and Pen-Y-Fan in 24 hours, a total ascent of 1,849m, and distance of 17 miles. This will be a major challenge for the participants. Please sponsor us as we face this challenge for such a great cause. All donations hugely appreciated and will spur us on our way!!  :)

Those taking part are:

Dolphin girls - Jo Durling, Georgina Davies, Christine Sayell, Anita Turner and Mia Muller (Support team , without whom we couldn't get from mountain to mountain, or eat! Thanks a million, ladies!  👏)

Lovely friends - Claire Fenwick, Katie Turner and Colin (Katie's housemate), Felicity Rigg,  Charlotte LaFollette, Izzi De Villiers, Martyn Warmsley, BJ Muller, Seb Sayell (work permitting), Tony Darnell and Pete Wagstaff.

Thanks all you lovely lads and ladies! Makes a GREAT team.

Kimbilio (Congo Children Trust), celebrating their 10th anniversary this July, work tirelessly with children living on the streets of Lubumbashi, helping them to overcome their personal challenges and begin to build a future with hope. To find out more please visit www.kimbiliocongo.org.

Don't miss viewing the YouTube Sky News report highlighting the plight of cobalt-mining boys who, thanks to Kimbilio, are now being fed, educated and looked after by Kimbilio. A moving wonderful story highlighting one aspect of the invaluable work of Kimbilio. See Special Report: Revisiting the cobalt-mining boys. And don't miss the follow up report a year on.
