Story
On the 6th May, I'm jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet and skydiving to raise money for ERIC. For those who haven't heard of them, here is a brief summary of what they do:
"Almost a million children and teenagers, in the UK, are affected by a bowel or bladder problem (day and night wetting, constipation and soiling). ERIC is the only charity dedicated to improve their lives. With the right support and information, the majority of these conditions can be resolved or managed, allowing children to live free from embarrassment, shame, isolation and fear."
ERIC are a fantastic charity, I have been working with them for a few years helping them with their Salesforce implementation, and it has given me a unique insight into their world. Children's incontinence is not an easy subject to talk about, and I'm always inspired by the positive and open way they help those in need and offer a service that has a real positive impact on the lives of children, teenagers and their parents.
It can be a scary thing to talk about, and with that in mind, I am going to jump out of plane, and face my own fears. I'm not the best with heights, so it will be a test of my own ability to overcome my own anxieties. While my scientist brain will understand all the physics involved and how safe the drop is, I have no doubt my cave man legs will wobble like jelly all the way!
