We support wounded Forces and families to improve their lives

Story

Dougie Dalzell served as a lieutenant in the Coldstream Guards. On 18 February 2010, his 27th birthday, Dougie lost his life whilst commanding 2 Platoon in 1 Company, 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards during Operation Moshtarak in Afghanistan.

Forefront in Dougie’s mind was always the safe return of his men. For this reason, we know his main concern would be the care of those who are injured on operation and who consequently pay a high price. The DDMT therefore seeks to support these people and their families in variety of ways.

I wanted to try my hand at an activity that Dougie himself would have probably taken on before breakfast, with one massive arm tied behind his back, but which for me will be quite an ordeal.

Please give generously to this fantastic cause, safe in the knowledge that I will finish it bruised, burnt, electrocuted, tear-gassed and above all things...muddy.

Lots of love,

Christopher.
